The key points
- Goalside Plus costs £7.99 a month, or £79.99 a year if you choose the yearly plan, taken from your card every month (or every year, on the yearly plan) until you cancel.
- Cancel any time from your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not charge you again.
- No refunds. We do not refund fees or part-used months and years. Your legal rights are not affected (see section 7).
- One subscription is for one coach. Please do not share your login or copy the sessions.
- You run the sessions. Goalside is guidance, and you are responsible for running sessions safely (see section 10).
This summary is to help you. The full terms below are what apply.
1. Who we are
Goalside (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can contact us at [email protected].
These terms apply to your use of the Goalside website, the free sessions and Goalside Plus (together, the “service”). By creating an account, or by subscribing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Please also read our Privacy notice, which explains how we use your personal data.
2. Who can use Goalside
Goalside is for adults who coach football. You must be 18 or over to create an account or subscribe. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close it.
3. The service
Goalside provides football coaching session plans for players aged 5 to 11 (U5 to U11): 252 sessions, each with a kit list, three coaching points and a diagram for every stage. Block 1 of every age group (42 sessions) is free and can be opened without an account. The other 210 sessions are part of Goalside Plus, a subscription.
The service needs an internet connection and a current web browser. Sessions you have opened or saved can work offline for a limited time, as explained in the Privacy notice. We may improve, correct, add to or change sessions and features at any time. If we make a change that removes a main feature of Goalside Plus, we will tell you and you may cancel.
4. Your account
- You must give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has your login.
- One subscription is for one coach. You may not share your login, or let others use your account.
- An account may be used on up to three of your own browsers or devices in any 14 days.
- To protect our content, we limit how many different paid sessions one account can open: currently 15 in a day and 40 in a week. These limits are far above normal coaching use.
- Each paid page shows the email address of the account it was opened with and a reference code, so that a shared copy can be traced.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page (see section 13).
5. Goalside Plus: price, billing and cancelling
- Price. £7.99 a month, or £79.99 a year if you choose the yearly plan. This is the full price you pay. You choose monthly or yearly at checkout (where both are offered). It is charged to your card by our payment provider, Stripe, when you subscribe and then every month (or every year, on the yearly plan) on the same date, until you cancel. There is no minimum term.
- How the contract is made. The contract for Goalside Plus is made when you complete checkout and we give you access.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account page (“Manage billing”). It takes a few clicks and does not need us to do anything. After you cancel you keep Goalside Plus until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not charge you again.
- Yearly renewal reminder. Before a yearly subscription renews, we will email you a reminder that shows the price and how to cancel.
- Price changes. If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before your next payment. You can cancel before the new price starts, and the old price applies until then.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe may try your card again. We may pause your access until the payment is made, and we may end the subscription if it stays unpaid.
- Payment security. You enter your card details on Stripe’s page. We never see or store your card number.
6. Starting straight away, and your right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you normally have 14 days from subscribing to change your mind and cancel (the “cooling-off period”). Goalside Plus gives you access to digital content straight away. So that we can start it straight away, at checkout we ask you to:
- ask us to start Goalside Plus immediately; and
- confirm that you understand that, once access begins, you lose your right to cancel within 14 days and to a refund because you changed your mind.
We can only offer Goalside Plus on that basis, because access starts as soon as your subscription is confirmed. We keep a record of your agreement. You can still cancel at any time to stop future payments (section 5).
7. Refunds
Our policy is no refunds. Subscription fees are not refundable, and we do not refund part-used billing periods, whether a month or a year. This applies if you cancel, delete your account, stop using the service or no longer need it.
This policy does not affect your legal rights. In particular:
- If digital content we supply is faulty, not as described, or not fit for the purpose you wanted it for, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 entitles you to remedies, which can include a repair or replacement, a price reduction or a refund. Tell us at [email protected] and we will put it right where we reasonably can.
- If you have not lost your right to cancel under section 6, you may cancel within 14 days and we will refund what you paid.
- If we end the service or your subscription for any reason other than your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
- If we charge you in error, we will refund the amount charged.
Refunds, where due, are made to the card you paid with.
8. What you may do with the content
All sessions, diagrams, text, the Goalside name and logo, and the other content of the service belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the sessions and diagrams to run sessions with your own teams. You may:
- open, save and print sessions for that purpose; and
- show or give a session to the coaches and helpers working with you at that session.
You may not copy, republish, sell, share or publish the content or your login, put it into another product or service, use it to train or feed any software or AI system, or collect it using automated tools, without our written permission. You may not remove the licence mark, email address or reference code that appears on paid pages.
Goalside is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, The Football Association, UEFA or any county football association. We refer to them only to describe the standards and guidance our content follows.
9. Fair use, suspension and review
Some limits are applied automatically, for example when an account is used on many devices or opens an unusual number of paid sessions. If a limit is reached, access may be paused. If you think we have paused your access by mistake, email [email protected] and a person will review it, usually within a few working days. If we find you did nothing wrong, we will restore your access and, if it was paused for a long time, adjust your billing.
10. Safety and your responsibilities
Every session is a plan written to help volunteer coaches. It is guidance, not supervision. You are responsible for running sessions safely, including:
- checking the pitch, equipment, weather and the number of players for each session, and keeping to a suitable ratio of adults to players;
- following your club’s and your county FA’s safeguarding rules and holding the qualifications, checks and first-aid cover they require;
- changing or stopping any activity that is not right for your players on the day.
Nothing on Goalside is medical, safeguarding, legal or insurance advice. Please read the notes on safety.
11. Problem reports and feedback
If you send us a report or suggestion, you agree that we may use it to improve the service without paying you or crediting you. Please do not put the names or personal details of players in a report.
12. Availability and changes to these terms
We aim to keep Goalside available but cannot promise that it will always work without interruption or errors. We may suspend it briefly for maintenance. If we need to change these terms, for example because the law or the service changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change applies if it matters to you. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel before it starts. If you carry on using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
13. Ending your use of Goalside
- By you. You can cancel Goalside Plus at any time (section 5). You can delete your account at any time from your account page. If you have Goalside Plus, deleting your account cancels it straight away, your access ends immediately, and section 7 applies.
- By us. We may suspend or close your account straight away if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing your login or copying the content. In other cases we will give you reasonable notice. We will tell you why where we can.
- If we stop Goalside. If we decide to stop offering Goalside Plus, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
14. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nor do they affect your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, if we break these terms or are negligent, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a reasonably foreseeable result of that, but we are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity. Because you run sessions yourself, in your own setting and with your own players, we are not responsible for injury or loss that happens during a session you run, except where the law makes us responsible or where we caused it by our own breach or negligence.
15. Events outside our control
We are not in breach of these terms, and are not liable, for any delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of the internet, power or a supplier, or an event of force majeure. This does not limit your right to a refund under section 7 if we cannot supply the service.
16. General
- These terms, with the Privacy notice, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another organisation if it will treat you at least as well; we will tell you. You may not transfer yours.
- If a part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Only you and we have rights under this contract. No one else may enforce it under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
- These terms are in English.
17. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, please email [email protected] first, and we will do our best to put it right. We aim to reply within 10 working days. If we cannot settle it, you may use the courts as set out below, and you can get free advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk).
18. The law that applies
These terms, and any dispute about them or the service, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live. This does not take away any rights you have under the mandatory law of the part of the UK where you live.
